I’ve seen this sort of imagery for geeky maternity shirts: a progress bar with “Loading” or “Please wait” or whatnot. Because we are expecting twins (and I like this sort of imagery) I felt a print with two progress bars is needed.
This design draws heavily from the Mac pantheon—rounded edges, techno typeface, monochromatic. I wanted to imply some dimension to the bars and settled on a print-esque half-tone pattern.
Our good friends at World of Strange print shirts. We wanted to announce our pregnancy to them in a fun way so I made custom prints that they knew would be for Laura. I zipped them up and sent them along figuring the designs would tell our story. We were not disappointed.
